After consideration of the vast amount of young technical companies, Internetcap.com has decided to name Phoenix Resources Technologies, Inc (PRTI) as Internet Stock of the Month. After careful review of PRTI’s current position in the field of technology, and speaking with officers of the company we are convinced PRTI is ripe for a significant move forward. We have recognized PRTI due to what could be a major breakthrough in web building software. At the close of the market on January 21, 2000, PRTI was at $9 5/8. This is a ground floor opportunity to invest in a company that is in the final stages of developing its new product, DBPanacea.

DBPanacea slashes costs over competitors
What makes DBPanacea stand out from the competition is its unprecedented point and click environment enables web developers to learn and build sites faster. PRTI is expected to compete with JDeveloper, Visual Studio, and Cold Fusion. Currently Cold Fusion is the leader of the industry. In one early test DBPanacea crushed Cold Fusion in a time trial, while at the same time not sacrificing quality. DBPanacea was shown to be 5 times faster than Cold Fusion. Although the test was informal, it outperformed PRTI’s conservative estimate of being 15% - 20% faster than Cold Fusion. DBPanacea also has other advantages over its main rivals. PRTI’s new product is considered to be easier to use and requires a lower learning curve than Cold Fusion.
"First and foremost," states President of PRTI, Ben Traub, "[the main advantage we enjoy] is how easy our software is to learn and use." Traub estimates it would take a technician freshly out of school a mere two days to learn the functions of DBPanacea. To learn Cold Fusion would take a seasoned technician about a month. Therefore, companies switching to DBPanacea would be able to hire workers, perhaps at half of the annual salary of a more experienced technician.
With the business to business eCommerce revolution on the horizon, web development players, such as PRTI, will soon enjoy great success as more and more companies, both large and small, utilize these tools to develop their own specific eBusiness solutions. So why invest in PRTI instead of Allaire who produces Cold Fusion? Because, faster and cheaper are important issues in the world of technology and business. We have seen internet companies grow from infants to giants almost overnight because of even smaller competitive advantages. PRTI has the product that could turn it into a giant.
Marketing Efforts
PRTI has plans for a large marketing push to support the release of DBPanacea. The first step is to hire a CEO with a strong marketing background from within the industry. The CEO will choose a marketing strategy for the company. PRTI is searching for an executive search firm to help fill the position. The new CEO will be responsible for developing and implementing the marketing strategy for the company. DBPanacea will be marketed to ISPs, mid to high level website developers and firms desiring to integrate complete database functionality including e-commerce transaction capability into their websites.
In order to maximize their marketing efforts, PRTI acknowledges the need for a third party verification. This has led them to commence a working relationship with Doculabs, which is based in Chicago, IL. Doculabs has helped market and test products for giants such as Sun, Microsoft, and Netscape. Doculabs will run 72 specific benchmark tests on DBPanacea in order to verify and evaluate the product’s strengths. These same tests have already been run on five competing products including Cold Fusion. Once these benchmark tests are complete, the resulting white papers will be used to make direct comparisons of the competing products.
This is the critical point where we can really expect PRTI to explode onto the market, generating great attention from the media coverage of the product, tech investors and analysts, and other large corporations.
Strong Timing
Doculabs will have completed their evaluation of DBPanacea in early February. PRTI is planning on releasing DBPanacea approximately 8-10 weeks after the evaluation is completed.
Outside of offering, what could be a major new product, we have named PRTI as Internet Stock of the Month due to the unique timing. All investors wish they had the foresight to buy into a company such as Intel or Microsoft when the companies were young. This is a unique time to buy into a young company with a great potential. With a market capitalization this low, we anticipate the stock to at least have a moderate growth over the next several months with the potential to soar to extreme heights once this product is introduced to the marketplace and begins to be used within the industry.
Financing
PRTI is currently working out several different plans to add additional financing. PRTI is currently working out the final aspects of a deal with a European firm to add several million dollars to the company. Additional capital at this juncture is essential to help catapult PRTI as a major player in its field.
Buyout Target
Once Doculabs completes the third party evaluation and if all goes as expected, PRTI plans to look for a perspective buyer. Internetcap.com views PRTI to be a perfect acquisition target by a larger, more established company, such as IBM or Intel. If a company such as those did indeed takeover PRTI, PRTI stockholders would profit significantly. A takeover bid may not come in the next week, but this is a key time for investors to position themselves. Currently, PRTI stock is at a relatively low price, but that will not be the case if a giant in the industry comes knocking at the door. "If we partner with somebody like IBM, with their marketing muscle behind us, watch us fly," states Traub in an interview Internetcap.com conducted with him recently. Traub went on to say he feels IBM would be a perfect fit as a partner, since IBM’s business focus is highly geared towards the e-commerce revolution. The prospect of a takeover could cause the price of PRTI stock to soar.
Summary
After researching Phoenix Resources Technologies, Inc, and also interviewing the president of the company and a leading developer, we feel this company is worthy of attention. Although its flagship product has not yet been released, and it is not possible to accurately predict where PRTI’s stock price will be several months from now, it is precisely this juncture which makes this stock so intriguing. The competent officers have a well laid out plan for the release of their product. They understand the nature of the industry and are not relying solely on the impressive speed and ease of use of DBPanacea. If this product lives up to its early testing, it could redefine the current marketplace.
The 3 main points that make PRTI so attractive are the marketing efforts through the well known and respected Doculabs, the reduced cost of development, and the ease of use make DBPanacea a viable product for web developers in the near future.
